Training structure

The complete training in the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept takes place in 6 days, divided into two courses of 3 days each. The course is eminently practical and is based on scientific and clinical evidence. It is organized based on a theoretical-practical exposition of the technique on a volunteer, together with practices directed by the teacher and supervised practice among students simulating the physiotherapist-patient role.

General objectives

The objective of this course is to train the Physiotherapist with the technical skills and knowledge necessary for the clinical application of the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept in the management of neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

At the end of this course, the participants will be prepared to incorporate this concept of Manual Therapy into their clinical practice.

Specific objectives

- Know the theoretical foundations and scientific bases of the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept.

- Know the biomechanical and neurophysiological mechanisms of action of the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept and the different application techniques.

- Know the principles of application of the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept, its indications and contraindications,

- Know the scientific evidence of the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept.

- Carry out a correct application of each of the specific assessment and treatment techniques: manual therapy, bandages and self-treatment techniques.

- Develop the ability to make decisions regarding the indication, progression and/or modifications in treatment with the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept.

- Integrate the different techniques of the Mulliganâ„¢ Concept in a physiotherapeutic treatment sequence, developing new treatment proposals.

Teaching methodology

The course is eminently practical and based on scientific evidence. It is organized based on a theoretical-practical exposition of the technique on a volunteer, along with practices directed by the teacher and supervised practice among students, simulating the physiotherapist-patient role.

Teaching materials

At each level, each student will be given a handout.

In the course of the upper quadrant, each student will be given a treatment belt, a cervical self-treatment strap and a treatment piece of foam.

In the course of the upper quadrant, each student will be given a treatment belt, a dorsal/lumbar self-treatment strap and a treatment piece of foam.
